It is crazy to see what is going on in a child’s mind and how people are afraid of discrimination. When I first saw this video I was so touched and impressed by the way this kids longs for support and help. Homophobia is a phenomenon very common nowadays but in countries that are not thinking narrowly and I thought that the US would be more open to the issue of homosexuals. Of course, being accepted as a homosexual in a school when you are a teenager is definitely hard, but as shown this kid was driven to commit suicide. I don’t know why children are so mean to each other and personally I don’t remember being so harsh in homosexuals in my school at his age but what can I say…
This video is a proof of how reality and appearance can be miles appart and how racism can lead to extreme behaviours. Also it shows how smart is this kid and how troubled he is to express his feelings in a video without even saying a word; I found his way so smart and powerful. To communicate this message he needed guts and I congratulate this kid even from this blog, it is very important for the world to see that people are encouraging teenagers to speak up for any preferences they have and try to STOP sexual discrimination in schools. If someone is proud of being homosexual except all the problems he encounters by conservative people and society in general, he is STRONG and should fight for his RIGHTS.
